The Kinection was the first studio album released by Omarion since Sex Playlist released in 2014. The Kinection was released by Omarion Worldwide and Warner on October 30, 2020.

The album's stand out tracks include "Mutual" featuring Wale, "Involved" and "Can You Hear Me?" featuring T-Pain. The album also features appearances by Busy Signal and Ghostface Killah.

In 2020, Omarion released the lead single, "Can You Hear Me?" featuring a guest verse from T-Pain. On October 29, Omarion presented Thriller Night, which premiered on YouTube in celebration of the album release.
